After trying soapy water and soap we finally discovered an easy way to find leaks using wet plastic wrap. Once we found the leaks we used a vinyl repair kit
Use a 5mm drill bit and carefully drill out the hole. Using a grommet (supplied in kit) gently place into the newly drilled hole. Using water based lubricant, lightly spray area with lubricant and insert a small joining barb. Then join the solar tube back onto the other end of the joining barb. Method 1: Submerge the Float. This method works best if you have a small, lightweight float and donât mind getting wet. Put the patch on your pool. If youâre putting a patch on a filled Intex pool or underwater, then you must put a small amount of patching adhesive from your kit onto the backside of your patch, then fold it in half to spread the adhesive. Wait for at least 10 minutes for it to cure, then immerse it into the water while you keep the patch folded.
